New Chinese Electromagnetics Research Program

The Mechanisms of Health Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation and Basic Research in Medical Protection

A new five year EMF research program by Chinese Government chaired by Professor Yu Zhengping at the Third Military Medical University, China has started in January 2011. The focus of research is on the following three research topics:

Study EM energy conversion in biological tissues and the mechanism of cell sensitivity to EMF
Study EMF sensitive organs and the laws and mechanisms of genetic damage effects
Study characteristics of population level health hazards and EMF hazard monitoring

Some of the research will be performed using exposure systems of the IT'IS Foundation. The original project description together with translation in english can be downloaded here:
