Tissue Properties Database Online

The IT'IS Foundation is proud to announce the launch of an online database for thermal and dielectric parameters of biological tissues as part of its ongoing effort to provide the community with a series of highly detailed anatomical models: the Virtual Population.

With this initiative, IT'IS aims to instigate a community effort to establish and dynamically maintain the most comprehensive and accurate reference database for EM and thermal simulations involving human models. Through a dedicated forum, the presented values can be constructively discussed, with the aim of continuously ameliorating the accurateness of the database values and improving the numerical work involving those parameters. Based on these discussions and comments, the database will be frequently updated and published on the webpage. For convenience, the latest as well as all previous versions of the database will be available online for consultation and download in various formats. Take part now in this enterprise:
