MRI & Implant Safety

 

Earl Zastrow received her BS, MS, and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin — Madison in 2003, 2005, and 2010, all in  electrical engineering.
 

Since September 2010, she has been with the IT'IS Foundation. Her research interests include microwave imaging, computational methods for EM modeling, compliance testing of medical implants within MRI environments, and bioelectromagnetics, including hyperthermia treatment of deep-seated tumors as well as the interactions between electromagnetic waves and biological tissues.
